Symptoms and next steps

Measles is a highly contagious viral disease. The incubation time, ie the time from the infestation of the organism to the first symptoms is about 7 to 21 days.

-The symptoms of measles are fever, cough, runny nose, light-eyelid and red-eye conjunctivitis. The mouths and the mucous membranes of the face may be whitish with dandruff.

-Fourth to the fifth day, a deep red to purple rash appears, beginning at the head and spreading to the face, neck, abdomen and limbs.

-Treatment is mandatory by law for hospitalization at the infectious ward and isolation for seven days after the onset of the rash.

If the above symptoms are experienced, it is advised to call the ambulance 155 and get admitted to the Infected ward at the earliest.
