Class Acts is organizing a writing competition for the 5th time! This year you can participate in a playwriting contest!
The goal of this programme is to encourage kids to write, to use their imagination and be creative. All school kids in the Czech Republic can participate! The playwriting is in English so it is also efficient for improving the language skills.
There are 3 topics you can choose from:
- On a bus – conflict between several characters met on a bus.
- Well-known fairytale from a different perspective. For instance, Snow White and the Seven Dwarf story told by one of the dwarfs.
- Your neighbourhood – some situation that have occurred in a place you are familiar with.
The winner play of each category will be performed by Story Theatre. The rehearsals will take place in March during a 3-day weekend workshop where little authors will be invited as well. In the end of the weekend all of the participants will be invited for an award ceremony. All winners will be announced to the public and winner plays will have a premier.
Save the date:
January 31: play submission deadline
February 15: the announcement of the play/show
March 22, 16:00 hours: afternoon of 10 min shows and award ceremony
