Details: KINDY programme for kindergarten-aged children (5-6) offers a full morning of English. Inspired by British and American kindergarten programmes, children learn the basics of reading and writing based on phonics and expand their vocabulary through theme-based sessions focused on mathematics, science, geography, history, plus music and drama. Please note that children are left at the centre for this fully-supervised program. Children attending this course have to be fluent English speakers.
Daily Schedule:
8.55-9.55 Language Class: This class is based on phonics, letter recognition and formation. We use the Jolly Phonics concept of letter introduction, read books and work with letter stories and sound clues.
9.55-10.15 Circle Time: This part of the morning is dedicated to storytelling, singing, movement and dance as well as discussing general topics (weather, numbers, feelings, etc.).
10.15-10.30 Snack Time
10.30-10.45 Play Time: The children get a chance to make friendships through free game, supervised and partially led by the teacher.
10.45-11.30 Topic Lesson: The children are introduced to interesting topics such as Space, Animals, Directions, Ancient Egyptians, Recycling etc. and accomplish tasks related to the discussed topic.
11.30-12.30 Drama Class with Leah Gaffen
What to bring:
– house shoes/slippers
– backpack
– pencil case (colour pens, writing pen, eraser, sharpener)
– full day snack and drink

Fee: 19 200,- Kč / school year
Fee includes 32 sessions, all the materials and books.
Fee can be paid in two instalments.
