Diwali at the Prague Zoo

The Prague Zoo will be celebrating Diwali—the Indian festival of lights.

The popular evening lantern procession commemorating Diwali, the Hindu festival of lights will take place between 16:00 and 17:00 hours. Everyone visiting the zoo at this time has to bring in their own LED lantern and will pay just one Czech crown for entry! Entry for this event is only via the zoo’s north entrance.

One can participate in the lantern procession only with lanterns with an LED bulb. Lanterns with classic candles are not permitted.

Those taking part in the procession will meet at the north entrance of the zoo at 16:30 hours, the event is expected to end around 19:00 hours.

November 1 Is also the last day of the traditional pumpkin feast at the Prague Zoo.
