Where: Nové mlýny 1239/2, 110 00 Praha 1, Petrská čtvrť
Other Details: Currently, in the well-developed digital age when people easily share information via messages back and forth, it is hard to imagine that there was a time when sending a letter was a lasting and slow process. Especially when the letter contained quite an important message. It was indeed essential to deliver a letter to the right address. In this regard, each country has its own history of the postal service development which includes many interesting stories. If you have ever been interested in the topic of mail and how it worked in the territory of Czechoslovakia, the exhibition, “Send it on! Mail of Czech Scouts” is developed specifically for you.
The exhibition offers to convey the background of the Czech scout service in an engaging way where the visitors will familiarize with stories that happened 100 years ago. Moreover, you will have an opportunity to grasp the importance of Czech Scouts’ serving as couriers and the cause of their illegal status for 44 years.
