For those days when you have some time off but no energy to plan a holiday, just stick around the city and relax at home! Treat yourself to a ‘staycation! Here’s a list of fun things to do this summer.
1. Be a tourist in your own town
Book a tour in the hop-on, hop-off bus. Take a tour around the city and see what it offers through the eyes of a tourist.
Although you might have seen and done it all in your city, there are always interesting festivals, workshops, and more that you can explore. You just have to look for it.
Check out some events and festivals happening in Prague to find something of your interest.
2. Foodie Tour
No matter where you live, there’s always some restaurant, or café that you’ve always wanted to check out but have never had the time. So, grab your phone and book a table now! Running out of ideas? Check out our directory of family friendly restaurants and cafes.
3. Host a baking afternoon
Invite some friends with kids over and bake something together! Cookies, for example. You can swap them, and everyone will have one of each. You can also make cupcakes and decorate them with frosting.
You can find some ready-to-use frosting at the Candy Store for just 125 CZK.
Bon appétit!
4. Backyard camping
How about putting up a tent and camping right there at your house? You can spend the night counting starts and telling each other stories!
Order some takeaway by using Wolt, Ubereats or Damejidlo. You may also download some movies to watch.
Decathlon has sleeping bags from 250 CZK and tents from 599 CZK. Lidl has tents and sleeping bags from 399 CZK.
